We Deliver by Daniel Patrick Cohen

We are excited to share our upcoming release with composer Daniel Patrick Cohen! A sprawling and surprisingly epic endeavour, We Deliver is a smorgasbord of musical diary entries composed across seven years. Featuring an extensive list of collaborators, this beyond-personal project both reflects the history of its creator and embodies his lovingly crafted questions about the past, present & future of the album as a musical form.

Daniel: «I'm fascinated by outtakes, jams, skits, and a capella melodies that become short 'throwaway' tracks on records across all genres. Inspired also by my profound love of hip hop producers, whose ability to develop new material from small elements is, I believe, one of the great musical developments of the 20th century, We Deliver is a lo-fi work entirely made up of these throwaway-type tracks. Indeed, my intention is explicitly for it to be exactly the sort of weirdo record that an imaginative producer may find a dynamite sample from.»
